Congressman Pallone understands that investing in all forms of infrastructure is necessary to ensuring a strong economy. That is why as Chairman of the Energy and Commerce Committee, he introduced the LIFT America Act which would make comprehensive investments in New Jersey and the nation’s infrastructure. The bill would authorize over $80 billion to expand access to broadband, improve drinking water infrastructure, update our electric grid, cleanup and redevelop contaminated brownfield sites, and invest in hospital infrastructure. He also has announced a $760 billion plan to address some of the country’s most urgent infrastructure needs, from the massive maintenance backlog and designing safer streets to combating climate change by reducing carbon emissions and moving us toward a clean energy future. It also outlines major investments in surface transportation, rail and transit systems, airports, ports and harbors, wastewater and drinking water infrastructure, brownfields, and broadband.

Washington, DC – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) today announced that South Amboy will receive $2,869,668 to bolster coastal resilience and protect wildlife habitats. The funding is distributed through the 2022 National Coastal Resilience Fund (NCRF), which is administered by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF). This year’s awards included funding from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.

Pallone joined Governor Murphy for a tour of the Port Monmouth flood control project today in Monmouth County. Pallone secured $110 million in a federal spending bill for the project after Superstorm Sandy.
Perth Amboy, NJ – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) joined a ribbon cutting ceremony today with local elected officials to highlight efforts to restore the historic Perth Amboy Free Public Library. Pallone secured $1.5 million in a federal spending bill to help the city renovate and upgrade the library to better serve the needs of the community. President Biden signed the bill into law earlier this year.
South Amboy, NJ – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. and Mayor Fred Henry today announced that South Amboy will receive $4.9 million to help rebuild the city’s infrastructure. The federal funding comes from the American Rescue Plan that House Democrats passed and President Biden signed into law in 2021. The funds are distributed through the Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration (EDA).

Pallone Secures $2.25 Million for Old Bridge to Build a New Recreational Building on Laurence Harbor
Washington, DC – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) today announced that he secured $2.25 million for Old Bridge in the Appropriations Subcommittee on Transportation, Housing and Urban Development Subcommittee spending bill for Fiscal Year 2023. The House is expected to vote on the underlying legislation in the coming months.
Long Branch, NJ – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) announced today with Senators Bob Menendez (D-NJ) and Cory Booker (D-NJ) that the Union Beach flood control project will begin this fall. The first contract was awarded this week by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) for $50,035,435 and will fund the construction of a beach berm with a planted dune, pedestrian and automobile crosswalks, and terminal groins. The project was authorized for construction in the Water Resources Development Act of 2007.
