House App Contest

Congressional App Challenge

Each year, the House holds a Congressional App Challenge to engage students' creativity and encourage their participation in STEM education fields.  Established in 2013, it’s a nationwide event in which middle- and high school students from across the nation create and exhibit apps for mobile, tablet, or computers.

Eligible students can compete individually or on teams up to four people. Any programming language, such as C, C++, Java, JavaScript, Python, Ruby, or “block code,” are accepted.

Students can register and submit their work here; the deadline is Tuesday, November 1, 2022

The winner from the 15th Congressional District will be chosen by a panel of expert judges and will be featured on CongressionalAppChallenge.us, and might also be exhibited in the U.S. Capitol.
