Appropriations Requests

I am pleased to accept appropriations requests so I can better advocate for Utah and promote fiscal responsibility and transparency in the federal budgeting process.

Requests fit into three categories: programmatic, language, and Community Project Funding. Please find below an example from the House Appropriations Committee about what each of these requests looks like.

  • Programmatic request: A request to fund a specific program in the bill at a specified level. Example: Provide $1,000,000,000 for the ReConnect program.

  • Language request: A request to include specific bill or report language that does not direct funding to a particular entity but encourages, urges, or directs some type of action by an agency. Example: The Committee encourages USDA to study the impact of expanded broadband on rural communities’ economic prosperity.

  • Community Project Funding request: A funding request for a specific governmental entity or non-profit organization to carry out a specific community project. Example: Provide $500,000 for a specific entity in City, State.

Submit an Appropriations Request

Appropriations requests can be submitted here. Please note that this is not the form for Community Project Funding requests.

As you prepare to submit your form, please carefully review this guidance released by the House Appropriations Committee.

Please note that all forms must be completed and submitted to Congressman Blake Moore’s office by April 15, 2022. This is two weeks before each subcommittee’s deadline, which will provide us with the time necessary to carefully review each and every submission.

Only fully completed forms will be considered.
