East Bay Congressional Youth Council

The East Bay Congressional Youth Council is an annual leadership opportunity for young people living in California’s 15th Congressional District to help highlight issues critical to younger generations while identifying and executing opportunities that encourage civic engagement. Participation in the Congressional Youth Council is free and offers students a unique opportunity to learn about the federal government, discuss public policy, and develop leadership skills.

APPLICATION PROCESS:

The application period for the 2023 school year is now open and will close on September 23, 2022. Participation is open to juniors and seniors in high school and freshman and sophomores in college. Participants must be under the age of 21 with a birthdate on, or after, January 1, 2002. Eligible participants must reside within the 15th Congressional District. Due to the popularity of the council, applicants may serve no more than one academic year on the East Bay Congressional Youth Council.
