Jobs and the Economy
The best way to get American families and businesses moving again is to allow them to keep more of their income. To give power back to the people, Congress should support across-the-board tax cuts. These cuts should be broad-based so that Washington isn’t picking the winners and losers, and they must be permanent so businesses can actually plan and invest.
The Administration and Congress should also act to remove the regulatory barriers to energy production and should streamline the existing permitting process. Increased domestic energy production from all sources (including oil, natural gas, oil shale, nuclear, and renewables such as hydropower) will without a doubt lower energy costs, reduce our reliance on foreign energy, and create new jobs.
The threat of increased taxes, new government regulation, and costly government mandates are a significant threat to any employer who is trying to decide whether they can afford to expand. My priority is to push back against these regulations and create a vibrant market where businesses and individuals can thrive.

Reopen small businesses, the backbone of society
Washington, D.C. – The United States House of Representatives today passed a massive two part, $1.4 trillion omnibus spending package which funds the government. The second part of the package also includes an additional $900 billion for COVID19 relief.
Congressman Lamborn issued the following statement:
"I was pleased to vote in favor of the first part of this package which included a 3% pay raise for our troops, provides $1.375 billion in border wall funding, and fully funds our nation’s law enforcement.
Washington, D.C. – The National Tax Limitation Committee (NTLC) awarded Congressman Doug Lamborn with the "Tax Fighter Award" for the 116th Congress. This award was presented to Congressman Lamborn for his work to limit federal spending, fight tax increases, and promote responsible budgetary and appropriations practices. Each Congress, NTLC analyzes the voting records of Members of Congress, and each grade is based on a member's public position on key votes. Congressman Lamborn received an "A" grade for 2019-2020.
