Veterans

I am incredibly proud to represent and support legislation benefiting more than 21,000 veterans living in New Jersey's 10th Congressional District. Ensuring that our dedicated service members and their families are provided with appropriate opportunities, services, and benefits is among my top priorities in Congress. These courageous men and women who have selflessly served and sacrificed for our country must be provided the full measure of resources that ensures they and their families can thrive.

Our service members deserve timely health care, educational assistance, and employment opportunities. Seeing how many returning veterans lack opportunities upon their return is unacceptable and disheartening.  Furthermore, the number of heroes who have been left homeless is reprehensible.

There is no commitment more important to our country than defending it, as millions of brave men and women have done. I strongly support legislation that benefits our heroes.

Throughout my time in Congress, I have:

  • Proudly partnered with “Soldier On” and the Department of Veterans Affairs to secure more than $2 million for Essex and Hudson Counties to help end veteran homelessness.
  • Advocated for the VA to address the backlog of claims so that our service members and veterans promptly receive the benefits they deserve.
  • Cosponsored the Fort McClellan Health Registry Act (H.R. 2825), which examines the link between service-connected exposures & development of severe chronic health problems.

I will always be committed to ensuring our veterans receive the benefits they bravely earned. I am proud that my office has had the privilege of helping hundreds of veterans receive the benefits they deserve. If you are a veteran and in need of assistance, please call my office at 973-645-3213, and ask about veterans’ benefits.
