Energy and the Environment
Climate change demands immediate action. Without serious and significant investments, our earth will be left damaged beyond repair, jeopardizing the well-being of future generations. The current energy crisis has further demonstrated America’s need to invest in green technology. These investments will make the U.S. a world leader in sustainable technology and development, increase American energy independence, and create good-paying jobs for Americans across the country.
America must be a world leader in the green energy of the future. By investing in research and development for new technologies, exploring ways to combat the effects of climate change, and reducing our carbon emissions, we can make the world a better place to live and create secure, good-paying jobs for Americans. Throughout my career, I have advocated and supported clean energy legislation and climate-friendly transportation that reduces the harm of climate change and our dependence on oil. I will carry that fight on as long as I serve in the U.S. House of Representatives.
