“The annual pentagon spending bill now totals over $850 billion. That’s more than $55 billion over what the President requested. It is unconscionable to spend a record-breaking amount on our defense budget while thousands of Minnesotans in my district struggle to make ends meet.

“Railroad corporations are raking in record profits — over $20 billion last year alone.

Ilhan Omar (D-MN) to rename a post office location in Minneapolis, Minnesota after the late Representative Martin Olav Sabo, who represented her current district, the 5th District of Minnesota, for nearly three decades. The legislation garnered bipartisan support from the Minnesota Congressional delegation.

Ilhan Omar (D-MN) and Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) led a letter to Special Envoy John Kerry urging the U.S. to support loss & damage (L&D) funding to help developing countries recover from climate disasters.
