Using Unemployment Tax Services

You can:

  • Use an existing User ID, if you already have one for another TWC Internet system.
  • Submit quarterly wage reports (for up to 1,000 employees) using one of four options for providing wage details: file upload, use of the last wage report to pre-populate employee information, submit a “no wages” report or manual entry.
  • Pay unemployment tax, if not required to pay by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). Make payments using the Automated Clearing House (ACH) debit method or credit card. ACH debit payments can be scheduled in advance of the actual payment date. Credit card payments can be made using American Express, Discover, MasterCard or Visa. There is no charge for ACH debit payments.
  • A remittance form can be downloaded to include with check payments for employers who have an approved hardship waiver on file.
  • View unemployment tax account information (for example, statement of account, chargeback details, tax rates, quarterly wage reports, payment history and the tax account profile).
  • Manage unemployment tax account access (grant, update or remove authority).
  • Adjust previously filed wage reports. Amend employee name, wages or Social Security numbers that were reported incorrectly.
  • Request a tax rate notice, required workplace posters or certification to the IRS of the wages reported to TWC.
  • Submit domestic employer's annual report. Domestic-only employers who have elected to file annually can report wages and pay unemployment taxes.
  • Update phone number, mailing and payroll addresses.
  • Upload employee wage details from a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet or comma-separated file.
  • Save an in-progress report and complete it later.
  • Sort employee lists by Social Security number or name.
  • Close or reopen the employer's unemployment tax account, or add a Federal Entity Identification Number (FEIN).
  • Calculate the taxable wages for each employee for the quarter being reported, based on their Social Security number.
  • View tax account activity for the employer’s unemployment tax account.
