at a time where there’s a at a time where there’s a
vaccine on the horizon, giving vaccine on the horizon, giving

crush the virus I hope it would crush the virus I hope it would
be an incentive for people to be an incentive for people to
follow science all the way to follow science all the way to

have more women in Congress. have more women in Congress.
That doesn’t mean we have uh That doesn’t mean we have uh
shares use, but hopefully we shares use, but hopefully we
can find common ground on some can find common ground on some
uh some issues that related to uh some issues that related to
domestic violence for how how domestic violence for how how
the Women’s caucus in a the Women’s caucus in a
bipartisan way came together in bipartisan way came together in

we’re sadly leaving low. He’s we’re sadly leaving low. He’s
in Davis, a few of the uh women in Davis, a few of the uh women
in the Congress so um but we’re in the Congress so um but we’re
happy to have. All these new happy to have. All these new
members and they’re beautifully members and they’re beautifully
diverse so. Yeah. So obviously you’re gonna Yeah. So obviously you’re gonna
have a. Know your power. New Year, What Know your power. New Year, What
is your power right now? Oh, no is your power right now? Oh, no
your power. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. your power. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Smaller majority You’re route to the secret. You’re route to the secret.
Well, let me just say on that Well, let me just say on that
score and we are still very score and we are still very
much involved in these races. much involved in these races.
We have a number that are just We have a number that are just
haven’t been counted uh when we haven’t been counted uh when we
were impatiently waiting for were impatiently waiting for
the count on the presidential, the count on the presidential,
it seem like an eternity and it seem like an eternity and
now it’s another week later, so now it’s another week later, so
we’re still involved in that we’re still involved in that
but uh listen we had a very but uh listen we had a very
deep victory 2 years ago. I deep victory 2 years ago. I
don’t think that people are don’t think that people are
quite understanding of the quite understanding of the
forty seats that we won forty seats that we won
thirty-one were in Trump thirty-one were in Trump
districts. He wasn’t on the districts. He wasn’t on the
ballot and then right away, We ballot and then right away, We
said he’s gonna be on the said he’s gonna be on the
ballot. That’s a steeper climb ballot. That’s a steeper climb
in these districts and with the in these districts and with the
actions that were taken, we actions that were taken, we
saved most of those seats. so saved most of those seats. so
we’re very proud of that we now we’re very proud of that we now
have a president of our party have a president of our party
in the White House, Joe Biden. in the White House, Joe Biden.
we have a majority in the we have a majority in the
house. I’ll be at smaller but house. I’ll be at smaller but
nonetheless of. Um a uh a nonetheless of. Um a uh a
majority 100. 132 gaves chairs majority 100. 132 gaves chairs
of committees subcommittee and of committees subcommittee and
the rest the beautiful the rest the beautiful
diversity of our caucus and we diversity of our caucus and we
see it as a tremendous see it as a tremendous
opportunity as we go forward opportunity as we go forward
because we have to address the because we have to address the
fact is that President Trump to fact is that President Trump to
his credit turned out a big his credit turned out a big
vote and in some of these vote and in some of these
districts, which were people districts, which were people
wondered how we won the. Before wondered how we won the. Before
they were so Trump and now with they were so Trump and now with
him on the ballot uh bringing him on the ballot uh bringing
in a bigger vote, but we’re in a bigger vote, but we’re
getting ready for the next time getting ready for the next time
A number of our candidates have A number of our candidates have
already said they’re going to already said they’re going to
run again. I’m not gonna make run again. I’m not gonna make
any announcements for anybody, any announcements for anybody,
but a number of them have told but a number of them have told
me that they’re ready uh they me that they’re ready uh they
love being in Congress or they love being in Congress or they
were proud to have one uh they were proud to have one uh they
were proud of the campaign that were proud of the campaign that
they made after Joe Biden was they made after Joe Biden was
declared the winner on uh declared the winner on uh
Saturday I spent most of. Saturday I spent most of.
Listening to those who did not Listening to those who did not
win the election they succeeded win the election they succeeded
in their campaign in terms of in their campaign in terms of
putting forth their youth, but putting forth their youth, but
will not be coming to Congress will not be coming to Congress
right now. I have pages in right now. I have pages in
fact, books of notes about how fact, books of notes about how
they saw what happened in their they saw what happened in their
districts and how they see how districts and how they see how
we go forward and it’s clear we go forward and it’s clear
that a number of the people who that a number of the people who
uh there’s certain issues that uh there’s certain issues that
may have worked other one place may have worked other one place
or another, but we are we have or another, but we are we have
to have a. Dive We have to to have a. Dive We have to
really have the data and so all really have the data and so all
of them gave me their view for of them gave me their view for
the moment and said when we get the moment and said when we get
more data, we’ll have a clearer more data, we’ll have a clearer
picture but there has been a picture but there has been a
way by having a smaller way by having a smaller
majority and what that means majority and what that means
for both caucus control the for both caucus control the
house and May I remind you that house and May I remind you that
we have a president of the we have a president of the
United States Uh we have a United States Uh we have a
president of the United States president of the United States
that is so very important and that is so very important and
whether you’re in the minority whether you’re in the minority
or. If the president is of your or. If the president is of your
party, you have more power and party, you have more power and
uh I think that’s what Mitch uh I think that’s what Mitch
McConnell is gonna find out now McConnell is gonna find out now
uh that that whether it’s in uh that that whether it’s in
the majority of the minority, the majority of the minority,
not having Donald Trump in the not having Donald Trump in the
White House uh is going to White House uh is going to
change his leverage and that change his leverage and that
dynamic but I’m very proud. I’m dynamic but I’m very proud. I’m
very proud. Uh I uh I knew it very proud. Uh I uh I knew it
was hard in terms of what we was hard in terms of what we
did for. I never said uh that did for. I never said uh that
we were gonna pick all these we were gonna pick all these
posters did and that’s another posters did and that’s another
question about the polling and question about the polling and
the rest and. Overestimating of the rest and. Overestimating of
what could be there, but the what could be there, but the
fact is President Trump got out fact is President Trump got out
his vote and in those districts his vote and in those districts
some of them he made a some of them he made a
difference and all every difference and all every
majority is fragile, but we’re majority is fragile, but we’re
well on our way to the next well on our way to the next
election as we are counting election as we are counting
still for this uh have a still for this uh have a
running start with some of the running start with some of the
same candidates saying that same candidates saying that
they will run and others who they will run and others who
are waiting uh because of their are waiting uh because of their
own personal decisions to run own personal decisions to run
next time. Um and the president continues Um and the president continues
as you know to falsely claimed as you know to falsely claimed
that he won the election of one that he won the election of one
form or another his allies are form or another his allies are
making unfounded claims about making unfounded claims about
irregularities with voting irregularities with voting
machines. We’ve seen the social machines. We’ve seen the social
media companies be forced to media companies be forced to
step in and crack down. Have step in and crack down. Have
you’ve seen you enough? On Facebook to correct the On Facebook to correct the
president’s. I’m not a big fan president’s. I’m not a big fan
of Facebook. I haven’t I don’t of Facebook. I haven’t I don’t
know what they have been doing, know what they have been doing,
but I know they’ve been part of but I know they’ve been part of
the problem all along and I the problem all along and I
just refer back to the just refer back to the
elections Infrastructure elections Infrastructure
government coordinating council government coordinating council
and the election infrastructure and the election infrastructure
sector coordinating executive sector coordinating executive
committees and what they said committees and what they said
the number of third election the number of third election
was the most secure in American was the most secure in American
history. There’s no evidence history. There’s no evidence
that any boating system was that any boating system was
deleted or lost votes, change deleted or lost votes, change
votes or want anyway votes or want anyway
compromised and this is so compromised and this is so
important. Because uh We’ve had important. Because uh We’ve had
resistance from the other side resistance from the other side
in protecting the critical in protecting the critical
infrastructure of our elections infrastructure of our elections
is the mechanics of the of it, is the mechanics of the of it,
and this is a good report back and this is a good report back
that things were going well to that things were going well to
your point. what is happening your point. what is happening
in the social media that is so in the social media that is so
poisonous to our system and how poisonous to our system and how
do we have uh a remedy for do we have uh a remedy for
that? uh it is uh social media that? uh it is uh social media
the technology. Is a blessing, the technology. Is a blessing,
but it’s a double-edge sword in but it’s a double-edge sword in
terms of communication terms of communication
democratizing the spread of democratizing the spread of
information so I uh you know, I information so I uh you know, I
would hope that they would have would hope that they would have
some sense of responsibility some sense of responsibility
because they were very much because they were very much
apart of causing this problem apart of causing this problem
to begin with uh but I do also to begin with uh but I do also
wanna say uh that with the wanna say uh that with the
president, it’s not just president, it’s not just
another branch of government another branch of government
The White House. It is the The White House. It is the
bully pulpit Joe Pot. Biden bully pulpit Joe Pot. Biden
knows why he’s there, He has a knows why he’s there, He has a
plan to be effective for plan to be effective for
America’s working families and America’s working families and
he will have again he will have he will have again he will have
uh the stage so it’s not as if uh the stage so it’s not as if
we’re trying to get uh a we’re trying to get uh a
distinction made here and distinction made here and
presses engage in equivalents presses engage in equivalents
and which I which I think was and which I which I think was
but nonetheless in terms of but nonetheless in terms of
having the bullied, it’s not having the bullied, it’s not
just a branch of government. just a branch of government.
It’s not just a uh having the It’s not just a uh having the
White House. Not just a branch White House. Not just a branch
of government, not just a um uh of government, not just a um uh
appointments to jobs and uh a appointments to jobs and uh a
cabinet arrest. It’s the cabinet arrest. It’s the
connection with the American connection with the American
people President Lincoln Public people President Lincoln Public
sentiment is everything with sentiment is everything with
it. You can accomplish almost it. You can accomplish almost
anything without it practically anything without it practically
nothing and it uh leap frogs nothing and it uh leap frogs
over so many other over so many other
misrepresentations. Uh I hope misrepresentations. Uh I hope
that the uh that everybody. Joe that the uh that everybody. Joe
Biden, a chance to have his Biden, a chance to have his
message out there when I saw message out there when I saw
during the Trump during the Trump
administration, is he could say administration, is he could say
anything it would be 2 days anything it would be 2 days
worth of news whether it had worth of news whether it had
any value or not uh let’s hope any value or not uh let’s hope
that everyone will give Joe that everyone will give Joe
Biden the chance he is the Biden the chance he is the
president of 78000000 votes and president of 78000000 votes and
still counting a mandate a still counting a mandate a
