Diaz-Balart and Soto to File Venezuela TPS Amendment to DREAM Act

Mar 14, 2019
Press Release

WASHINGTON – Congressmen Mario Diaz-Balart (FL-25) and Darren Soto (FL-09) today announced they will be filing their Venezuela TPS bill as an amendment to the DREAM Act.

“Earlier this year, Congressman Darren Soto and I introduced legislation that would allow Venezuelan nationals to become eligible for Temporary Protected Status (TPS) in the United States. Congressman Soto and I will be filing this bill as an amendment to the DREAM Act. This commonsense bill provides a solution to the many Venezuelans who currently reside in our country who fled a socialist dictatorship, and the oppression, hyperinflation, extreme shortages of food and medicine, and crime that the regime is responsible for. I look forward to continue working with Congressman Soto and our colleagues as this bill, and our amendment, are brought to the House floor for consideration.”
