Up to date FAQs and information from the IRS for both filers and non-filers, HERE

DEADLINE EXTENSIONNon-Filers who have not received an Economic Impact Payment need to provide information by October 15. If you don’t usually file a tax return and you have not received your Economic Impact yet, the IRS may not have enough information to determine your eligibility. This includes those receiving the federal benefits listed below.

  • Those receiving Social Security retirement, disability (SSDI), survivor benefits
  • Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients
  • Recipients of Veterans Affairs Compensation and Pension (C&P) benefits
  • Individuals who receive Railroad Retirement (RRB) benefits

You can submit your information online by October 15 using the Non-Filers tool: English // Español. Visit the IRS website for more information.

NEW RESOURCE: If you have questions or are experiencing difficulties receiving your Economic Impact Payment (EIP), the IRS has established a new hotline for questions: 800-919-9835

UPDATE: Treasury and the IRS are starting to send nearly 4 million Economic Impact Payments (EIPs) by prepaid debit card, instead of by paper check. EIP Card recipients can make purchases, get cash from in-network ATMs, and transfer funds to their personal bank account without incurring any fees. They can also check their card balance online, by mobile app, or by phone without incurring fees. The EIP Card can be used online, at ATMs, or at any retail location where Visa is accepted. More information about EIP Cards, here.

  • Individuals who have lost or destroyed their EIP Card may request a free replacement through MetaBank® Customer Service. The standard fee of $7.50 will be waived for the first reissuance of any EIP Card.  Any initial reissuance fee charged to a customer from an earlier date will be reversed. Individuals do not need to know their card number to request a replacement. Individuals may request a replacement by phone at 800-240-8100 (option 2 from main menu).

DIRECT PAYMENTS TO ARIZONA FAMILIES, per the CARES Act, will adhere to the guidelines below:

  • All U.S. residents (anyone with a Social Security Number) with an adjusted gross income of up to $75,000 ($150,000 for married couples) will receive the full $1,200 rebate ($2,400 for married couples). Households with children will receive $500 per child.
  • The amount of the rebate check will taper down for incomes over $75,000 and individuals with incomes above $99,000 won’t get any amount. The amount of the rebate will taper down for couples filing jointly with incomes above $150,000 and those with incomes above $198,000 won’t receive any amount.
  • The above is true even for Americans who only receive Social Security (retirement or disability) or VA benefits, and those whose income comes entirely from Supplemental Security Income (SSI).
    • However, if you have qualifying children under age 17 and you receive SSI or VA benefits but did not file a tax return in 2018 or 2019, the deadline has been extended to September 30th to enter your information to get $500 per child with your $1,200 payment.
    • Visit https://www.irs.gov/coronavirus/non-filers-enter-payment-info-here to enter this information.
  • All U.S. residents with a Social Security number who filed a tax return in either 2019 or 2018 do not need to take any action in order to receive their rebate checks. Individuals who receive Social Security (retirement or disability) or railroad retirement benefits also do not need to take any action to receive their rebate checks. Other taxpayers who didn’t file in 2018 or 2019 such as veterans and those receiving Supplemental Security Income (SSI) should visit the IRS website for non-filers, HERE
