Costa Statement on Israel, Bahrain, and UAE Normalization Agreement

WASHINGTON - Congressman Jim Costa (CA-16) released the following statement after representatives from Israel, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates signed a historic agreement to normalize relations: 

 "This agreement is an important step toward lasting peace in the Middle East and should be welcomed,” Rep. Costa said. “By opening diplomatic relations with Israel, the UAE and Bahrain have shown that it is possible to overcome decades of strife and work toward a safer future for all. I will continue to support a strong US-Israel relationship and work toward a long-term solution for the region that lays the groundwork for peace for Israelis and Palestinians alike."
