A bill that will require the federal government to assess suicide prevention efforts for veterans was signed into law by President Donald Trump, according to U.S. Rep. Anthony Brindisi’s office.

Brindisi, who sponsored the bill, authored the legislation to help address the suicide epidemic affecting veterans, according to his office.
