Book Lovers Unite

Reading is essential to my life, and I know many students in the Fifth Congressional District feel the same way. Being well-read is also important to my work as your Congressman.

That’s why I'm launching Book Lovers Unite, a reading challenge for all students in K-12 schools in the district, for its second year. Here’s how it works: Keep a log of the books you read between now and January 1, 2021, and then send it, along with your name, mailing address, and your parents’ phone number and email address, to makayla.mccree@mail.house.gov by January 8, 2021.

All elementary school students who read 10 books, middle schoolers who read five chapter books, and high school students who read five nonfiction books will be invited to celebrate with me in January or February. I look forward to seeing you there and talking about books with you.
