MLK Jr. Day Youth Conference

Congressman Andy Levin is pleased to announce the launch of an annual event for 9th District high school students to deeply honor and build on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy as a driver of system change. Participants will leave this experience with a greater sense of Dr. King’s opposition to entrenched power structures and his dedication to nonviolent direct action. We hope our student participants will be inspired to exemplify the values of the civil rights movement in their own lives and activism.

We’ll kick off the weekend with some learning, spoken word, music, and get energized for the conference on Sunday; and we’ll introduce you and all the participating students!

Sunday, January 17th, 2-5pm:  MLK Jr. Youth Conference - In this virtual conference, students will hear from community leaders and educators on Civil Rights history.
