As a member of Congress, one of the most rewarding opportunities I have is that of nominating our youngest and brightest to the United States Air Force Academy, Merchant Marine Academy, Military Academy, and Naval Academy. These service academies provide the highest standard of undergraduate education and training of commission officers across the nation, and every year, eligible students undergo a rigorous application process in order to represent our ...island.

This year, to help best prepare our students for their futures, we have arranged to connect our potential nominees with representatives of all service academies. On November 12th, 2020 at 2pm CHST, please join us on zoom https://us02web.zoom.us/j/89471143130…

The virtual info session will be held to allow for applicants to engage critically and meaningfully with various alumni and instructors of the United States Armed Forces.

Following the December 11th application deadline, candidates with complete applications will move forward in the selection process for an interview scheduled on a day between December 16th and 18th.

It is an honor to serve Guam’s youth, and I wish them all the best as they pursue their goals of attending one of the U.S. Service Academies, serving our country, and setting themselves on these paths of virtue.

We have put the Department of the Interior on notice during their budget hearing that the disparities in Compact Impact funding for Guam are stark and unbalanced. They will report to the Committee their findings on our direct questions. #MichaelFQSanNicolas
