Nominación a  academias militares

IMPORTANT:

Request for nomination package will only be accepted via VIA EMAIL. SEND PACKAGE TO militaryacademies@mail.house.gov not later than 5:00 PM November 20, 2020. Follow instructions on letter dated September 14, 2020 and the test flexible policy.

TEST FLEXIBLE POLICY:

For students applying for a nomination to the Class of 2025, we will follow a “test flexible” policy, which will allow students to apply to the nomination process without an SAT or ACT test score.  If the student has the Puerto Rico College Board (PRCB) or PSAT test result he will be able to submit them for consideration. Students who have attempted and have not been able to take either the PRCB, PSAT, SAT or ACT due to cancellation, unavailability, or other extenuating circumstance will not be disqualified from consideration.  If a student seeks consideration for a nomination for appointment without any of the test mentioned above, we will ask him to provide supporting information concerning test availability, cancellation.

Our commitment is to conduct a comprehensive assessment of applicant credentials which include reviews of academic achievement, academic aptitude (rigor), leadership experiences, physical fitness, life experiences, volunteer work and other unique attributes during the application process.

The bottom line is that candidate should continue to do everything they can to take the SAT or ACT before the end of 2020. Candidates should not use the “test flexible” policy as an excuse not to take the SAT or ACT.
