So many veterans have a unique story to tell bout their time in the Armed Forces, whether it's a funny story from basic training, a touching memory about a fellow veterans, or the experience of coming home after combat. The Veterans History Prjoect is your chance to have these stories preserved for future generations of Americans.

The Veterans History Project is a program of the Library of Congress' American Folklife Center that "collects, preserves, and makes accesssible the personal accounts of American war veterans so that future generations may hear directly from veterans and better understand the realities of war." Accepted Materials:
30 minute or longer video interview
10 or more photographs, letters, artwork, or official military documents*
20 pages or more of original unpublished memoirs or journal entries*
*photos, journals, paper, artwork, and other documents submitted must be originals and may not be returned.
