“Today members of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus expressed our profound disappointment and collective outrage to the board of the Association of American Publishers about the serious lack of diversity in the publishing industry.

“Cinco de Mayo marks the anniversary of the first Battle of Puebla — the victory of the Mexican army over the French on May 5, 1862 in State of Puebla, Mexico. WASHINGTON—Democratic leaders of color are urging Senate and House leadership to include federal funding for local and ethnic media outlets in a future stimulus package. These organizations are the best positioned to deliver COVID-19 updates to underserved and vulnerable populations , including those who are limited English proficient.
