INITIAL UNEMPLOYMENT CLAIMS FOR WEEK ENDING 1/9/2021
MONTGOMERY - The Alabama Department of Labor released the official count for initial claims filed during the week of January 3 – January 9, 2021.
14,084 initial claims were filed either online or by telephone during this period. 11,124 of those claims are estimated to be COVID-19 related.

Jefferson County had the largest number of claims with 1,858.
