Infection Prevention Control

Alabama Department of Public Health has implemented an Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Team. We are based at the Calhoun County Health Department in Anniston, and we cover 11 counties. Our coverage area includes Calhoun, Cleburne, Clay, Talladega, Sylacauga, DeKalb, Blount, Cherokee, Etowah, Randolph,St. Clair and Shelby. Our team coordinates disease outbreak clinics, provides employee health services and collaborates with community agencies to provide infection prevention outreach and education. We offer COVID testing and result reporting, mass vaccination clinics (Hep A, Flu, COVID). We can assist in promoting and providing health education on emerging diseases and outbreaks. 2015 Annual Report

Hours of Operation

Clinic hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Home health hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Home health staff is on-call seven days a week, 24 hours a day.
