I hope you and your family are continuing to stay healthy and well. As Arizona Election Officials continue to count ballots, I want to express my thanks for the hard work each official has put into this process. Arizona has been a leader for other states to follow, and we will continue to ensure each ballot is counted correctly.

The Maricopa County Recorder's office has resources available to check your ballot status, and to watch officials counting ballots live. If you have any additional questions about the election process in Maricopa County, I recommend visiting their website, here. 

Jobs Report Exceeds Expectations

On Friday, we saw our economy continue to improve in October reporting strong labor force participation and a decrease in our unemployment rate. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported the economy added 638,000 jobs, and our unemployment rate decreased to 6.9%. 

We still have work to do in order to return to the record-breaking 3.5% unemployment rate we saw earlier this year, but we remain on the right track. By promoting pro-growth policies including making permanent the tax cuts we passed in 2017, further developing strong trade deals with our allies, and passing additional COVID-19 relief, we can continue on this path to help our economy grow. 

Health Insurance Open Enrollment

We have begun open enrollment season for healthcare. Whether you are interested in enrolling or updating your current plans, above are some of the dates and deadlines for you to be aware of. For more information about the enrollment periods:

Important Resources for Nonfilers

The IRS has designated Tuesday, November 10, National EIP Registration Day. This is part of the agency’s final push to encourage everyone who doesn't normally file a tax return to register to receive an Economic Impact Payment, approved through the CARES Act. 

The deadline to request your Economic Impact Payment as a Non Filer is November 21st. If you qualify, click here for more information.
