Dear Friend,
It was great to spend the week working from our wonderful district! Here is a review from this week and a look at upcoming events.
Visiting with General Dynamics
Earlier this week, I visited the General Dynamics Mission Systems facility in Scottsdale. I toured the facility to see what new projects they are working on, and I learned about the innovative new technologies being developed right here in Arizona. From critical space communication techniques to encryption capabilities, combat survival radios and more, the engineers are doing some impressive work.
I always enjoy touring facilities and businesses in our district and learning more about the variety of ways Arizonans are creating and innovating.
ASU Changemaker Central
Our staff visited Changemaker Central at ASU, a student-run organization on campus that focuses on four pillars: service, sustainability, civic engagement, and entrepreneurship and innovation. Changemaker sponsors events such as days of service, solution summits, and ignite talks.
The Changemaker space is open to all students for meetings, a study area, and a place to hang out. Great to see this space being used by ASU students!
Joint Economic Committee Updates
As Senior House Republican on the Joint Economic Committee, I send out weekly economic updates including a chart of the week and a review of recent economic data that we are seeing.
Serving on the Joint Economic Committee has been an honor during my time in Congress. The Committee works to review economic conditions and to recommend improvements for economic policy.

2020 Congressional Art Competition
In 1982, Congress established an art competition to showcase the talents of our nation’s young artists. Each spring, thousands of high school students from around the country participate for the opportunity to have their work displayed prominently in the tunnels and walkways of the U.S. Capitol Building. The competition is open to high school students residing or attending school within the Congressional District 6 boundaries.
For more information on how to submit artwork to the competition, click here, or call my district office at (480) 946-2411.
