WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Rep. John Katko (NY-24) announced today that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has awarded a $3,737,495 grant to the Wayne County Action Program for Head Start projects.

John Katko (NY-24) pushed for reforms to the Summer Nutrition Program, highlighting his support of The Summer Meals Act, bipartisan legislation he has cosponsored to allow a greater number of community-based organizations to distribute meals to at-risk children.
Syracuse, New York – U.S. Rep. John Katko (NY-24) today announced the creation of two education advisory boards in order to gain valuable input on legislative priorities from Central New York educators.
The first advisory board is focused on primary and secondary education throughout Wayne, Cayuga, Onondaga, and Oswego Counties. The second is focused on higher education and includes representatives from every higher education facility in the district.

John Katko (NY-24) today announced that Le Moyne College has been awarded a $1,190,512 grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF) to recruit, enroll, and prepare 18 undergraduate students in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) fields to obtain New York State teaching certification. Representative Katko supported the application submitted by Le Moyne College for this federal funding.
