Rep. Cisneros Announces Over $570,000 for 39th District Health Centers

FULLERTON, CA - Today, Representative Gilbert R. Cisneros, Jr. (CA-39) announced $571,559 for health centers in the 39th District: St. Jude Neighborhood Health Centers, North Orange County Regional Health Foundation, Friends of Family Health Center, and Korean Community Services, Inc. The funding comes from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to support health centers in providing healthcare services to underserved populations.

“Throughout this pandemic, our health centers have been a reliable partner in keeping our communities safe. Their extensive outreach and treatment to underserved and vulnerable populations have helped limit the spread of the coronavirus,” said Rep. Cisneros. “I’m grateful to announce over $570,000 for our 39th District health centers, and I’ll continue to fight to ensure they have the funding they need.”

On March 25, Rep. Cisneros announced over $300,000 in coronavirus supplemental funding for CA-39 Health Centers coming from the first coronavirus response bill. 

On March 30, Rep. Cisneros announced over $50,000 in coronavirus supplemental funding for the Korean Community Services’ health center coming from the first coronavirus response bill.

On April 8, Rep. Cisneros announced over $2.2 million in coronavirus aid for CA-39 health centers.

On May 8, Rep. Cisneros announced nearly $800,000 to expand coronavirus testing for CA-39 health centers.
