(WASHINGTON, DC) Today, H.R. 1109, the Mental Health Services for Students Act, authored by Rep. Grace F. Napolitano (D-El Monte), unanimously passed the U.S. House of Representatives by voice vote.
(WASHINGTON, DC) Today, Rep. Grace F. Napolitano (D-El Monte) voted for H.R. 2, the Moving Forward Act, a more than $1.5 trillion investment to rebuild American infrastructure from roads, bridges, and transit systems, to schools, housing, and broadband access.

Martha is an 18-year-old Latina college student from La Puente. She studies part-time and works part-time to support herself and her family. U.S. Representatives Norma J. Torres (CA-35), Salud Carbajal (CA-24), and Grace F. Napolitano (CA-32) announced that their provision to increase federal funding by $5 million to assist the U.S. Air Force Educational Partnership Agreement has passed the U.S. House of Representatives as part of H.R. 2740, the first minibus of fiscal year 2020 appropriations bills.

At the capacity-filled invitation-only event, a US Congresswoman Representative Grace Napolitano representing California was also awarded an honorary doctorate for 30 years of public service.
Congresswoman Napolitano who was the special guest speaker at the graduation described her ordeal growing up poor after her birth in 1936 and early marriage at 18 and birthing five children by the time she was 23.
