Inauguration
Presidential Inauguration Ticket Request FormFrom the first Inauguration of George Washington, in New York City, in 1789, to today, as we prepare for the 59th Inaugural Ceremonies, the Swearing-In Ceremonies of the President and Vice President represent both national renewal and continuity of leadership. As each president has offered a vision for America’s future, we reflect on the heritage of Inaugurals past and remember the common bond that we all share as Americans. To obtain tickets to the inaugural ceremonies, members of the public must contact either their United States Senator or Representative. Tickets are free of charge and may not be sold. Tickets allow access to specific sections of the Capitol Grounds. There will be a large section on the National Mall that will be accessible to the general public. Accessibility services are provided in each ticketed section and upon entering the section will be available by request to the Accessibility Services Representative. Please keep in mind that COVID-19 precautions will likely mean a different inauguration than in years past, including a smaller number of tickets available as well as health and safety precautions for attendees. As that information becomes available, this page will be updated. For more information about the 59th Inaugural Ceremonies, visit the official page of the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies. To request tickets from Congressman McGovern, fill out the form below. You will be contacted by Congressman McGovern’s office once more information becomes available. Please note that due to the large number of requests, tickets are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. While the Congressman will make every effort to fulfill all requests, filling out the form below does not guarantee admission to the inaugural ceremonies. Required fields are followed by *. |
