His district office can help ensure you receive reliable information, proper forms, as well as inquire on your behalf with a federal agency. While they cannot guarantee you a favorable outcome, Rep. Allred’s office will do their best to help you receive a fair and timely response to your issue.

Congressional Veteran Commendation

The Congressional Veteran Commendation (CVC) is a nominations-based program designed to recognize the wartime sacrifices and peacetime community involvement of veterans of the 32nd Congressional District of Texas. Honorees have shown to be exceptional Americans on and off the battlefield.

The 2019 CVC Honorees will be announced and recognized by Congressman Colin Allred at his November town hall. The deadline to nominate a veteran residing in Texas’ 32nd Congressional District is November 6th, 2019.

Vietnam Veteran Commemoration 

Congressman Colin Allred is working with The United States of America Vietnam War Commemoration to honor veterans of the Vietnam War and their families here in Texas’ 32nd Congressional District. 

Congressman Allred will be holding a ceremony in the Spring of 2020 to honor veterans of the Vietnam War with official Vietnam War 50th Commemoration pins, certificates, and proclamations. If you are a Vietnam veteran, a family member of a Vietnam veteran, or a survivor of a Vietnam veteran living in Texas’ 32nd Congressional District please submit a nomination using this form along with a DD214 to be eligible. 

If you do not have a DD214 copy, our office can help you obtain one. The commemoration items may be presented to veterans posthumously if their family members complete the application in their memory.

To register for the event, please use this online form or print and mail this application to Congressman Allred's district office. Deadline is Monday, January 27, 2020.

 

Veteran History Project

The Veterans History Project’s (VHP) mission is to collect, preserve, and make accessible the personal accounts of American war veterans so that future generations may hear directly from veterans and better understand the realities of war. Participation in the VHP will contribute to the permanent collections of the Library of Congress, one of the world’s most respected research and cultural institutions.
