Good morning!
We are here again and I must say that I am extremely excited about this year’s competition. That’s not to discount any of the previous competitions but this competition has some truly special pieces.

Thank you Lee for that kind introduction, and thank you to the DeKalb Veterans Advisory Board for inviting me here this morning.
Thank you, Mr. Chairman.
Today’s hearing is an important and welcome opportunity to discuss drug price competition in the market for treating opioid addiction.
Opioid addiction is a devastating public-health emergency in many of our communities.
Rep. Hank Johnson, Ranking Member of the Judiciary Subcommittee Regulatory Reform and Commercial Antitrust Law (RRCAL), gave the following speech during a full Judiciary hearing with U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch.
By now we have all heard the news of the tragic loss of Governor Deal’s staffer, Mack Burgess in an accident earlier this week. Toby Carr and many others are attending his funeral today, which necessitated a change in the program. Our sincerest condolences go out to the family and friends.
Black men and boys killed by police.

Impunity for the killers - no justice, no peace.

Militarized police met peaceful protesters on their knees.

Weapons of war - a show of force on our streets.
