The Families First Coronavirus Response Act and the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act included provisions to increase the accessibility of testing while investing $6 million in our nation’s testing capabilities and diagnostics. Additionally, the Paycheck Protection Program and Health Care Enhancement Act invested $25 billion for expanded testing with requirements to create a federal strategic testing plan.
