Congressman Lynch believes we need to make a robust investment in our existing infrastructure to repair or replace our crumbling roads and bridges, provide affordable access to broadband and phone services, and keep our air and water safe. The Congressman also believes our national transportation policy is a significant opportunity to combat global warming. He supports modernizing our public transportation to ensure communities have energy efficient buses and trains, and incentivizing our communities to plan streets and other infrastructure to lower our carbon footprint.

In the 116th Congress, the Congressman and his colleagues helped to pass The Moving Forward Act. The Moving Forward Act allocated $300 billion toward improving our roads and critical maintenance on our failing bridges. The bill also takes significant steps forward to improve public transit and facilitate safer streets for pedestrians and bicyclists. Included in this larger bill, Congressman Lynch sponsored the Pedestrian and Bicyclist Safety Improvement Act of 2020, Green Buses for Every Community Act, and Ensuring Health Safety in the Skies Act of 2020; three major pieces of legislation related to the betterment of our nation’s infrastructure and public safety. Congressman Lynch will continue to fight to make the infrastructure investments that reflect our needs and values.
