WASHINGTON, DC - Today, Representative Gilbert R. Cisneros, Jr. (CA-39) voted to pass the bipartisan Great American Outdoors Act (H.R. 1957). This bill provides permanent, full funding for the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) and establishes the National Parks and Public Land Legacy Restoration Fund. These two programs, with broad bipartisan support, will invest in our public lands and state and local parks, including Chino Hills State Park. Rep. Cisneros is a cosponsor of the bill. It’s now headed to the President’s desk for his signature.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – This week, Congressman Gilbert R. Cisneros, Jr. (CA-39) announced the House passage of the Energy and Water bill in H.R. 2740, the Fiscal Year 2020 Appropriations Package, which secured over $5.5 billion above the President’s request for infrastructure upgrades, development of renewable energy resources, and maintenance of existing infrastructure. These additional resources were requested to ensure the Prado Dam, as well as other dams and land in Brea and Fullerton managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, are maintained in a manner that enhances quality of life in the 39th.
