Chairwoman Roybal-Allard Announces $30 Million in FEMA Funding for LA COVID-19 Testing Sites

Today, House Homeland Security Appropriations Subcommittee Chairwoman Lucille Roybal-Allard (CA-40) announced the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has awarded $29.9 million in Public Assistance Program funding to the City of Los Angeles for COVID-19 testing sites.  As chairwoman of the Homeland Security Appropriations Subcommittee, Chairwoman Roybal-Allard oversees FEMA funding.

“This FEMA grant for Los Angeles’s COVID-19 testing sites will be invaluable as the city keeps fighting the spread of this deadly pandemic,” said Chairwoman Roybal-Allard.  “A strong local response continues to be essential to our battle against the coronavirus, and this FEMA funding will be pivotal to helping Los Angeles provide that strong response.  As Chairwoman of the Homeland Security Appropriations Subcommittee, I will keep working to ensure FEMA has the funding it needs to help keep our communities safe.”
