Congressional Art Competition

Each spring, a nationwide high school art competition is sponsored by the members of the U.S. House of Representatives. The Congressional Art Competition is an opportunity to recognize and encourage the artistic talent in the nation, as well as in Alabama's Second Congressional District.

The Congressional Art Competition is open to all high school students in Alabama's Second Congressional District. Each year, my office partners with a local Alabama art museum to professionally judge and select the competition winner. The winning artwork from our district is displayed for one year in the U.S. Capitol building. The exhibit in Washington, D.C. will include the winning artwork from all participating districts from around the country. The winning artwork is also featured on the Congressional Art Competition website.

The Congressional Art Competition application is closed at this time.
