Congressman Pallone supports adequate funding for veterans programs to provide the men and women who fought for our country the support they need to stay healthy, get an education and find a good job. Pallone, Rose Introduce Bill to Help Homeless Veterans with Credit and Financial Counseling Services
Washington, DC – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) and Congressman Max Rose (NY-11) today introduced the Homeless Veterans Credit Repair, Enhancement, and Debt Improvement for Tomorrow (CREDIT) Act to help end veteran homelessness and housing instability. Credit and financial counseling services remain a top ten unmet need for our nation’s homeless veterans.
Long Branch, NJ – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) announced that the Long Branch Housing Authority (LBHA) received an award of $107,057 to alleviate veteran homelessness. The United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) distributes the award through its HUD-Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (VASH) Program. The Program helps homeless veterans obtain affordable rental housing in the private sector. Congressman Pallone’s office helped the LBHA acquire the funding.

New Brunswick, NJ– Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) applauded Middlesex County for being recognized by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, the United States Interagency Council on Homelessness and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for having effectively ended veterans' homelessness in the county. The Middlesex County freeholder board created a Veterans Housing Program in 2012 to assist veterans at risk of homelessness, committing $100,000 a year to the effort.
MORGANVILLE, NJ – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-6), along with Assemblywoman Amy Handlin and Assemblyman Declan O’Scanlon, presented World War II veteran Joseph Zakalyk with eight distinguished honors for his achievements in the United States Army Air Forces and service to his country. Mr. Zakalyk, who is now 94-years old, served during World War II as an aerial photographer and gunner in the 745th Bombardment Squadron, 456th Bombardment Group, Fifteenth Air Force, successfully participating in 35 combat missions.
Will Present 82-Year Old Veteran with Medals He Earned During Korean War
EDISON, NJ – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-6) visited the home of Robert A. Corbisiero, a Korean War veteran who lives in Edison, NJ, to present him with distinguished medals for his achievements and service to his country during the Korean War. Mr. Corbisiero, who is now 82 years, has never been recognized with these medals before.
WASHINGTON, D.C.—Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) visited the Menlo Park Veterans Memorial Home in Edison, NJ to mark the upcoming Veterans Day holiday. Pallone spoke with New Jersey veterans and called for an end to the backlog of disability claims within the Veterans Administration (VA).
Long Branch, NJ – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) announced that the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs will receive $665,055 in federal funding from U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in partner with U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to offer permanent supportive housing by providing 75 vouchers to homeless veterans, many of whom are living with chronic disabling conditions.
