Help with a Federal Agency

One of my most important duties as your representative in Congress is to assist you when dealing with federal agencies – this assistance is referred to as casework. If you are a resident of the third district and can’t get an answer from a federal agency in a timely manner, or if you have questions about a program or process, my office may be able to help resolve a problem or get you the information you need. Although we cannot circumvent agency rules or force a decision in your favor, we will do our best to help you receive a fair and deserved response to your problem. Please remember that you must have already filed an application, petition, formal complaint or otherwise contacted the federal agency in writing before my office can lend a hand.

While I will make my best efforts to assist you, please remember that federal agencies have discretion concerning decisions on individual cases and have the final say on the outcome.

According to the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Standards of Official Conduct, I cannot act as an attorney, offer legal assistance, or intervene in criminal or civil legal cases in any way.

If you need assistance with a State of Oklahoma agency, you should contact your state representative or senator.  You can find their information at okhouse.gov under 'Find My Legislator.'

Please Note:

The Privacy Act of 1974 (5 U.S.C. § 552a) requires that Members of Congress or their staff have written authorization before they can obtain information about an individual's case.

We must have your original signature to proceed with this type of request.
