Right To Life
Mother Teresa once said:
"I feel that the greatest destroyer of peace today is abortion, because it is a war against the child, a direct killing of the innocent child, murder by the mother herself. And if we accept that a woman can kill even her own child, how can we tell other people not to kill one another?"
The unborn are the most innocent and vulnerable members of our society. The U.S. Constitution already protects life and I have sworn to uphold that constitution.
During my time in Congress I have consistently voted for the cause of life and have worked to end pro-abortion policies. My efforts to end abortion were recognized when I received a 100% rating from the National Right to Life Committee.
As a nation we must return to being a society that cherishes unborn life. Abortion is a direct assault on the dignity of human life, and you can rest assured that I will continue to challenge legislation supporting abortion.

On Tuesday, March 22, 2016 Rep. Chuck Fleischmann (R-TN) delivered a one minute speech on the floor of the House defending the rights of the unborn.
WASHINGTON− Congressman Fleischmann released the following statement today following the House’s vote on the Continuing Resolution that would fund the government through mid-December.
“It is a shame that this fight had to occur under the shadow of a government shutdown but we absolutely must protect life. Our most precious gift is that of life and I will continue to fight for the rights of the unborn. It is my hope that in the future we can return to regular order by passing appropriations measures and move away from these short-term funding resolutions.”
WASHINGTON− This afternoon, Rep. Chuck Fleischmann was sworn in to the 114th Congress as the representative for the Third District of Tennessee. After taking the oath of office on the House floor, Rep. Fleischmann made the following statement.

WASHINGTON−This evening, the House of Representatives voted to hold Lois Lerner, a former top official at the IRS, in contempt of Congress. On two separate occasions, Lerner refused to answer questions about the IRS’s reported targeting of political groups while asserting her innocence. After the vote, Congressman Fleischmann released the following statement.
WASHINGTON− Today, House Appropriations Chairman Hal Rogers announced Appropriations Subcommittee assignments for the second session of the 113th Congress. Representative Fleischmann retained all three of his subcommittees including his important role on the Energy and Water Subcommittee.
