Rep. Richmond Announces More Than $6.9 Million in Additional FEMA Grants for the East Baton Rouge School Board
WASHINGTON – Today, Rep. Cedric Richmond (LA-02) announced the availability of more than $6.9 million in federal funding for the East Baton Rouge School Board in response to the devastating flooding in 2016. The funds will go towards repairing multiple buildings on the Glen Oaks High School campus and will allow the East Baton Rouge School Board to replace damaged Information Technology (IT) equipment for 12 campuses across the parish.
“I am pleased that the East Baton Rouge School Board is continuing to receive the funding they need to carry on their recovery efforts,” said Rep. Richmond. “It is critical that all campuses across the parish continue to rebuild to help students feel a sense of normalcy. I will continue to fight for disaster funding because communities across Louisiana deserve the resources they need for a complete recovery.”
