Mission
The Congressional Range & Testing Center Caucus seeks to educate Members of Congress about the strategic value of ranges and testing centers and to promote their role in the Department of Defense’s Testing and Evaluation (T&E) mission.
History
The caucus was established in January 2013 at the beginning of the 113th Congress with Congressman Diane Black (R-TN) and Congressman Derek Kilmer (D-WA) serving as Co-Chairs. The Caucus was re-established in 2018, with Congressman Scott DesJarlais and Congresswoman Julia Brownley serving as Caucus Co-Chairs for the 115th Congress.
Activities
Caucus activities include site visits to ranges and testing installations, delegation visits to Washington, DC from community support groups, and briefings for members and staff on topics affecting T&E.
