  • Help with a Federal Agency

As you may know, I am retiring from the U.S. House of Representatives at the end of the 116th Congress , my fourth term in Congress. Because I am not running for re-election to Congress, I must begin the process of closing my offices in order to make preparations for the incoming Member of Congress. The time remaining is not sufficient to resolve this matter on your behalf. Therefore, I am unable to offer further assistance. U.S. Senator Todd Young and his staff are willing and able to assist you, and I encourage you contact his office for guidance and help with this issue. Please visit the link below to file a request with Senator Young’s office, or you may call his office at 317-226-6700. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for allowing me to serve you over the past eight years. It has been an honor and privilege to be of service as your representative in Congress.
  • Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Before the COVID-19 virus evolved into the current global threat, Representative Susan Brooks (R-IN05) worked to ensure global health security, biodefense funding, and speed in decision making and coordination between federal agencies. Our nation’s response efforts to the coronavirus outbreak have shown that collaboration and efforts between the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Food and Drug Administration, World Health Organization and our state, local, and territorial public health partners have been vital in making this progress.
  • SIGNED INTO LAW: The Pandemic and All Hazards Preparedness and Advancing Innovation Act

The Pandemic and All Hazards Preparedness and Advancing Innovation Act (PAHPA) reauthorizes federal funding for vaccines, equipment, and research on global diseases. PAHPA ultimately streamlines how hospitals and the CDC respond to terror attacks, natural disasters, and disease outbreaks. It’s meant to improve our immediate essential responses to contain the spread of infection, treat infected individuals, and launch research for necessary vaccines/diagnostics. As a member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, Representative Susan Brooks (R-IN05) is dedicated to ensuring that the United States is prepared to combat biological threats. This bipartisan legislation was signed into law in June 2019.
