Simpson to Attend Eisenhower Memorial Dedication

Washington, D.C.  – Idaho Congressman Mike Simpson is a Commissioner for the Dwight D. Eisenhower Memorial. He was appointed to the Commission in 2011 and is pleased to be part of this dedication and unveiling.

The Dwight D. Eisenhower Memorial will be dedicated via Facebook Live, and will have a live stream open to the public. The live event will begin at 7:00 p.m., EST on Thursday, September 17.  Information about the dedication, memorial, audio tours and more can be found at www.eisenhowermemorial.gov.

“It has been a pleasure and honor to serve on the Eisenhower Memorial Commission as we recognize a great General, President and American,” said Simpson. “When we look back at U.S. history, when America has faced grave challenges, the right people- Washington, Lincoln, Grant - have inevitably risen to lead our country through difficult times. America was blessed to have another great leader in President Eisenhower who made his own significant impact on the fortunes of our nation. This memorial is a fitting tribute for all Americans to learn about and remember one of America’s great Presidents, Dwight D. Eisenhower.”
