RIGHT NOW ➡️ The North Sea Dredging Project in Southampton Town is finally underway! After years of coordination between every level of government, we're on our way to restoring a depth of 6 feet for navigation purposes and pumping 15,000 cubic yards of sand that will help restore the nearby beach. This is just the latest in a series of important maritime infrastructure projects all across our beautiful district.

Many of our local farmers continued to work hard throughout the outbreak of coronavirus to keep our shelves stocked, but some farmers, including our local vinicutluralists, had their businesses shuttered due to coronavirus. Last week, I met with local farmers, oyster growers, viniculturalists and others to discuss federal assistance during the outbreak of coronavirus, additional support needed from all levels of government and how we can help local farmers quickly and safely get back to business.
