Congressman Michael Turner

Representing the 10th District of Ohio

Wright-Patterson Air Force Base

Wright-Patterson Air Force Base is vital to our regional economy and our national defense.

With over 26,000 employees, Wright-Patt is a critical economic engine in Southwest Ohio, contributing $5 billion annually to the regional economy.

As Chairman of the House Armed Services Subcommittee on Tactical Air and Land Forces, Congressman Turner leads the fight to ensure that our military is protected from potentially devastating cuts and that Wright-Patt continues to be a critical component of our national security.

Prior to Congressman Turner's election to Congress, there was no advocate for Wright-Patterson Air Force Base on the important House Armed Services Committee. Congressman Turner filled that void and throughout his time in Congress, Wright-Patt has successfully added approximately 10,000 jobs and remains the largest single-site employer in the state of Ohio. Additionally, working closely with community leaders, Congressman Turner successfully fought to bring $230 million dollars in federal funding and over 1,000 new jobs to Wright-Patt during the BRAC process.
