2020 Congressional App Challenge Rules and Requirements for Students

About the Challenge

Established by the United States House of Representatives in 2014, the Congressional App Challenge (CAC) encourages students to create and submit their own app for the opportunity to receive national recognition. This year, Congresswoman Trahan is excited to welcome students from the Third Congressional District to participate in the 2020 Congressional App Challenge.

This challenge is open to ONLY middle and highschool students living in the Third District of Massachusetts. Students may participate as individuals or in teams of up to four.

Registration to enter is now open, and students can register prior to September 10th, 2020 for early inventives (registration indicates your intent to compete).

The FINAL DEADLINE to submit the app is 12:00 PM ET, October 19th, 2020. (If competing as a team, all members of the team must submit their information on the registration form to participate.)

Students may submit apps they created prior to the Challenge, as long as their apps meet the standards of eligibility, and were created within one year of the submission deadline (e.g. anytime after Nov. 1, 2019).

CAC winners may be eligible to have their app featured on a display in the Capitol Building in Washington, DC, and will be honored by Congresswoman Trahan. Winners will be announced in December, 2020
