Art Competition

Each spring, a nation-wide high school arts competition is sponsored by the members of the U.S. House of Representatives. The Artistic Discovery Contest is an opportunity to recognize and encourage the artistic talent in the nation, as well as in our Congressional District.

The first-place winner will be given the opportunity to display their artwork at the United States Capitol in Washington, DC for one year. In addition, I am excited to share that our partnership with the Punta Gorda Airport will continue again this year, and the remaining submissions will be showcased and viewed by over one million visitors each year. We will be hosting a reception at the airport to announce the winners on Tuesday, April 7, 2020. Additional details to follow.

We invite educators to use this letter from Congressman Steube to encourage students to submit their artwork.

The deadline for submitting artwork to one of my offices is 5:00 p.m. EST on Monday, March 30, 2020. There will be no exceptions made for late submissions. Please click here for the competition rules, and here for the student release form.
