Internships

Internships run throughout the year for college students. Although the internships are unpaid, students gain invaluable work experience. The hours are flexible to accommodate students' hectic course schedules.

Internships in my Washington, D.C. Office:

Students interested in an internship in the Washington D.C. office can contact Julie Macmann at 202-225-2015 or download the application below and send it back to the office.

In Washington, intern responsibilities vary and can include: answering phones, researching legislation, attending hearings and briefings, assisting with communications projects, and answering constituent letters on various issues before Congress. As a result, interns learn about the legislative process and the many other functions of a congressional office.

Internships in my Ohio District Offices:

Students interested in an internship in any of my Ohio District Offices can contact Brenna Gates in my Lancaster Office at (740) 654-2654 or download the application below and send it back to the office.

In my Ohio District Offices, interns may be asked to do a variety of things, including: answering phones, writing letters, data entry and supporting staff with district events. Interns may be assigned to assist with various constituent casework or district-based projects of importance.
