During the early years of the sandbox after 9-11, about 15,000 U.S. troops served at the K2 military base in Uzbekistan, where they were exposed to old Soviet-era toxic materials. Toxic and radioactive material was buried everywhere out there. Russian stuff. The VA has unrighteously denied these Veterans appropriate medical care. It’s the same story every time. Agent Orange, burn pits, K2... deny deny until they die. It’s a bunch of bureaucratic BS.
We were making tremendous progress on issues like this with the VA in 2017 and 2018. Then, VA reform just stopped.
Well, I’m not stopping.
Our Veterans' voices will be heard.

Redemption is not a destination, it’s a journey.
I’m meeting with the Louisiana Parole Project in Baton Rouge to discuss Penitentiary reform, prison ministry, reducing recidivism, delivering a solid message to at-risk teenagers across South Louisiana, and reentry programs for Americans who have fulfilled their sentences. We are all failed and fallen in some way, but a man’s character shouldn’t be measured by how he falls. It should be measured by how he stands back up.
Stay tuned. We’re developing a Christian-principled program that we’ve been working on for many years.

Addressing the LABI Conference this afternoon.
Economic prosperity is the cornerstone of a solid future. Business and industry must find a path forward, no matter what political party is in power.

Visited for a couple of hours with Wet Tech Industries in Maurice, Louisiana.
Solid Americans busting their ass to earn an honest living. Significant work, refurbishing iron buoys for the United States Coast Guard. America has 19,650 iron buoys. They’re crucial for ship navigation. This is the kind of work our Federal government should be paying for. Not counting frogs in Oregon or watching paint dry in DC.
