“I am honored to accept a position on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee and the House Small Business Committee, and I thank my colleagues who selected me for these committees.
From highways to ports to rail to air, transportation is a vital issue for our district. The 15th District encompasses the I-4 Corridor that connects Tampa, which has the largest port in Florida by tonnage and land, to Orlando, the busiest airport in Florida. The district is growing quickly, and we must invest in infrastructure to keep pace with that growth. I look forward to working with my colleagues on the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee to strengthen our infrastructure and provide the necessary oversight to make sure our hard earned tax dollars are being spent wisely.
I also look forward to fighting for small businesses, who are the drivers of our economy. As a small business owner for two decades before coming to Congress, I understand the challenges they face, and I look forward to working for small business growth and competitiveness.”
