The Office of Congresswoman Scanlon is currently accepting applications for the following internship opportunities. All interns who are not receiving college credit or outside funding and are able to work at least four full days a week are eligible to receive a weekly stipend.

Legislative Internship

Internships are available in Congresswoman Scanlon’s Washington, DC office for college students and recent graduates.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Drafting constituent correspondence
  • Researching legislative issues
  • Responding to constituent mail
Internship opportunity is expected to be remote through the spring semester.

Ideal applicants will be motivated team players with strong communication skills and have a demonstrated interest in government and public service.

Internship hours run from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Hours and start dates can be adjusted to accommodate class schedules.

Constituent Services Internship (District Office)

Internships are available in Congresswoman Scanlon’s district office, located in East Lansdowne, PA, for the Spring session for college students and recent graduates.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Constituent correspondence
  • Researching legislative issues
  • Assisting with casework

District based interns will have the opportunity to attend events and meetings.

Ideal applicants will be motivated team players with strong communication skills and have a demonstrated interest in government and public service.

Generally, internship hours run from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Hours and start dates can be adjusted to accommodate class schedules.
